| Game Play The ball Official wiffle ball and yellow bat only. A light scuffing of the ball is allowed. “No gouges” Any ball with a crack greater than 1/4'’ or on the equator is illegal. Bats may be taped up to the top of the handle only. Game Play The official count is 6 balls and 3 strikes. A batter may have unlimited foul balls however a foul that hits the object strike zone with 2 strikes on the batter is considered strike 3 and deemed a “gay k” because it is gay. Pitching speed is "medium" 35 mph maximum Fielding A team only needs 2 players present to play. A maximum of 3 on the field and 5 batters. Any ball fielded without touching the ground after initial contact is an out. A double play can be turned when a runner is on 1st base and you field the ball cleanly either on a grounder, liner or pop up. Double plays are completed when the fielder throws the ball and hits the strike zone on the fly. Tagging up.. With a runner at 3rd the batting team may yell “Tag” on a fly or liner and attempt to score their runner. The fielder may opt to throw the ball at the strike zone to catch the runner. The ball may strike the zone on the fly, bounce or roll to record the out. Games are 6 innings in length. A single is any ball that makes it past the pitchers line untouched. A double is any ball that rolls the fence untouched. A triple is any ball that hits the outfield fence on the fly or off a fielder. A home run is any ball that clears the outfield fence on the fly or in the air off a fielder or the fence. Fielders may take one step in from the singles line to field a ground ball. They may field a pop up or liner anywhere on the field or in foul territory. Mercy rule Any team that is behind by 10 or more runs after batting in the 4th inning will lose by mercy rule. |
